OrganicAspirations (“we”, “us”, “the site owner”) runs organicaspirations.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible
The site owner, OrganicAspirations, is responsible for personal data collected through this site. To contact us about privacy, please use our Contact page.
What we collect and why
- Site statistics. We count visits with the WP Statistics plugin, which runs on our own server. It records technical information such as browser type, device, approximate location, pages viewed and the referring site. IP addresses are anonymized and hashed before they are stored, and we do not store full browser user-agent strings. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. We keep this information as long as needed for that purpose.
- Contact form. If you use our Contact form, we receive your name, email address and message, which are delivered to us by email. To block spam, the form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and usage information under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your request. We keep messages as long as needed to deal with your request.
- Comments. If you leave a comment where comments are open, we store your name, email address, IP address and comment. Comments are checked for spam by Akismet (Automattic). Your name and comment may be shown publicly. Legal basis: legitimate interest. We keep comments for as long as they remain published.
- Security. Wordfence protects the site against attacks and may log IP addresses and request details for that purpose. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure. We keep these logs as long as needed for security.
- Performance. We use caching and optimization tools. They do not collect personal data.
We do not run advertising networks or third-party analytics on this site. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Cookies
Our pages do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Essential cookies may be set if you log in or leave a comment (WordPress), or by reCAPTCHA on the Contact page. When you click an affiliate link and visit Amazon or another store, that store may set its own cookies under its own policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Affiliate links
Many product links on this site are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We do not receive your name or order details from Amazon; we only see total, anonymous sales reports. See our Affiliate Disclosure. We do not sell products or handle orders. For order questions, contact the store you bought from (see Questions About an Order?).
We share personal information only with the service providers named above and with our web host, Site5 (United States), so they can run the site for us. We also share it when the law requires.
International transfers
Our host and some providers (for example Google and Automattic) process data in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights (EEA and UK: GDPR and UK GDPR)
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal data, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. To make a request, use our Contact page. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA and CalOPPA)
In the past 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address) and internet activity (such as pages viewed), for the purposes described above. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. You can ask to know, delete or correct your personal information, and we will not treat you differently for doing so. Do Not Track: this site does not track you across other websites, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals where they apply.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS and security tools to protect the site, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Links to other websites
Other websites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not apply to them. Please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
Contact
For any privacy question or request, please use our Contact page. We aim to reply within 30 days (45 days for California requests).
